The Church and the Experience of Multi-Ethnic America

Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Jue, associate professor of church history, and alumnus Dr. Anthony Bradley (PhD, '08) will be speaking at the upcoming Grace & Race lectures at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York City. The conference will be held March 12 from 1pm-4pm.

"This afternoon symposium explores the important role the church plays in the experience of African-Americans, Asian-Americans and Latino-Americans.  We will explore how the church empowers individuals to face the challenges of being a minority in America as well as provides a place for social integration, the restoration of a sense of human dignity and a basis for protest in the face of injustice. Dr. Anthony Bradley, Dr. Alvin Padilla and Dr. Jeffrey Jue will lead us in exploring these themes followed by a panel Q & A."
