About the Speaker

Rev. David Helm is the founding pastor of the Hyde Park congregation of Holy Trinity Church in Chicago. Before that he served as a colleague of Kent Hughes at College Church in Wheaton. Helm is the Chairman of the Charles Simeon Trust through which he frequently conducts Workshops on Biblical Exposition, writes training materials, and supervises the Director of Ministries. He has written several books including The Genesis Factor, the best-selling The Big Picture Story Bible1 and 2 Peter and Jude in The Preaching the Word Commentary series and, most recently, Expositional Preaching. He is a graduate of Gordon Conwell Seminary and an ordained pastor in the Presbyterian Church in America.
