Westminster students and alumni are also encouraged to save $100 on BibleWorks 8 by joining in a group purchase organized by the Center for Theological Writing. Please notify the CTW as soon as possible if you are interested in participating in the group purchase by writing to writingcenter@wts.edu.

The BibleWorks 8 Instructional Workshop will be taught by Westminster alumnus and BibleWorks Tech. Specialist, Edward Mellott, Saturday, March 12, Van Til Hall, Room 1. Two sessions are offered:

Essentials 8:30am-11:30am

Essentials Workshop Goals:

  • To learn some general principles regarding BibleWorks that will help you use any of the BibleWorks tools.
  • To remove the intimidation new users often feel from all of the features they don’t understand.

Intermediate, 1pm-4pm

Intermediate Workshop Goals:

  • To understand how the tools included in BibleWorks fit into the exegetical process used by a preacher/teacher.
  • To become familiar with the Primary BibleWorks tools with the steepest learning curve.

Both the BibleWorks Intermediate and Essentials Workshops focus on general principles that are necessary to understand in order to use BibleWorks proficiently.  We will discuss various BibleWorks tools as a context for learning these general principles, but the main goal is to understand the general principles, not to memorize the clicking sequences necessary to use each tool.  Workshop participants will receive some handouts and follow up materials to facilitate further practice and proficiency with the tools of BibleWorks 8 at one's own leisure.  Cost is $30 per seminar ($60 for both). Participants will need to bring a laptop with Bibleworks 8 already installed. This event is open to the public.
