Beale at Society of Biblical Literature

November 20, 2010

Paul and Scripture

Rev. Dr. Greg Beale, professor of New Testament and Biblical Theology, will be participating at the upcoming Society of Biblical Literature Paul and Scripture Seminar in Atlanta, GA. He will be moderating the "Paul and Scripture Seminar" at the Atlanta meeting.  The seminar session will take place on November 21, from 9:00 to 11:30 am on the particular topic of "The Place of Scripture in Paul's Theology."

From Dr. Beale:

This is an annual meeting of biblical scholars from throughout the world, who meet and read papers in their particular specialties in Old and New Testament studies.  Part of the purpose of the meeting is for scholars to exchange views and interact with one another's views, as well as to keep abreast of the new developments in biblical studies.  Also, there is a publishers exhibition hall, where scholars can peruse the newest publications.  I will be moderating one of the two sessions of the "Society of Biblical Literature Paul and Scripture Seminar."  The session that I will be moderating will be on November 21 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM.  The theme of this seminar session will be "The Place of Scripture in Paul's Theology."  There will be a discussion of three papers on this topic.   If there are any Westminster Theological Seminary alumni that will be attending the meeting, please feel free to attend the session and I would be happy to greet you after the session.

The meeting will be from November 20-23, and will be held at three different locations.
