A Reformed Survey of Eschatology

October 26, 2010

Rev. Dr. Lane Tipton will be speaking at Christ Presbyterian Church in New Braunfels, TX on October 27th and 28th, 2010.  The conference is from 7 to 9 p.m. each day.

Dr. Tipton, associate professor of systematic theology, will be speaking on the eschatology of the book of Hebrews, "with particular devotion to clarifying how the person and work of Jesus Christ relates to realized and future eschatology therein.  His central thesis is that the coming of Jesus Christ in redemptive history realizes God’s eschatological pur- poses for redemption. These basic insights from the book of Hebrews will help us gain fresh perspective on biblical teaching and critical perspec- tive on contemporary evan- gelical approaches to biblical eschatology, evidenced particularly in Dispensational (classical and progressive) and Postmillennial views."

Dr. Tipton will also be preaching at the South Texas Presbytery worship service on October 29th at 7 p.m.  The service will be at the same location.
