Books for AfricaMay 10, 2009Westminster's Student Association is coordinating the collection of theological books on May 8 at our Philadelphia campus. On May 8th at the Philadelphia campus, students may drop off their book donations during the Spring Picnic. Others may drop off their books on May 9th from 10:00 - noon at the Westminster bookstore basement. Most pastors in Rwanda do not have access to a single book to assist them in their study of the Bible. To help train pastors, a Bible college in Kigali will begin to enroll students within two years. The college will teach Hebrew and Greek, Old and New Testament, systematic and practical theology, and church history. A full theological library is being built as a part of the college. They currently feed, educate, and disciple 2,000 poor and orphaned children, some of whom they are also able to house (more at www.anlm.org). They have $200,000 for a building and want to put the library in place when construction of the building is completed. They need books! Thousand of books … by December 2009!
Books are being accepted through December, 2009 at the addresses below, and will be loaded for transport January, 2010. Tom Corcoran |
