"If I knew then...

July 09, 2008

Contact almost any Westminster alumnus and they will no doubt have some good advice that begins, “If I knew then as a beginning student what I know now as a Westminster graduate, I would…”  A common thread from this advice involves staying on top of the required reading.  For some this is best achieved by tackling the reading before your first day of class!

To help you get a feel for the depth and pace of the reading required for our courses, we have updated the Recommended Reading page.  Many of the selections are taken from actual syllabuses from M.Div, M.A.R. and M.A. classes, and they are arranged to fit the actual Westminster course categories (Old Testament, Apologetics, Practical Theology, etc.).  If available, I have also linked each book to the Westminster Bookstore (at a great price!).

As our faculty and alumni publish more and more great work, this list will continue to grow.  We hope to include some that are forthcoming to give you a preview of what to put on your list!  At the very least, we trust this is a good resource for prospective students, current students, alumni and anyone else looking to brush up on publications that have been invaluable to the Westminster community and others.

May God continue to bless the words of those who faithfully write about His Word.
