An Announcement from the President's Office

Westminster is saddened to announce that W. Brown Vincent has resigned from his post as Vice President for Development.  Here is a message that he gave to the Westminster Staff and Faculty:

After much prayer and deliberation, I must inform you that I am leaving my position at Westminster. It is my conviction that Westminster will certainly come through this current financial storm by His grace even stronger for the future.

Thank you for the support and encouragement you have provided me during my time here. It has been a privilege to have the opportunity to serve our Lord with you at Westminster.

It is our prayer that God would bless Brown in his future role, and that he would continue to work towards furthering God's Kingdom to a changing world.

As a result of Brown's resignation, Dr. Carl R. Trueman has been appointed Provost of the Seminary and will assume responsibility for the President’s duties when the latter is away from campus. This move is to allow Dr. Peter Lillback to focus on fundraising in the current difficult economic climate until such time as a new Vice President for Development is appointed.

Dr. Jeff Jue has been elected as Vice President for Academic Affairs and Academic Dean  and will take on responsibility for Academic Affairs on March 1.

Please continue to pray for Westminster as it seeks to faithfully "form Christian leaders to proclaim the whole counsel of God throughout a changing world."
