Who is My Neighbor?

December 11, 2011

On November 19, 2011, a group of Westminster students helped one of our seminary neighbors by raking and bagging her leaves, and doing some preventative pruning.  The effort was spearheaded by officers of the Student Association and demonstrates in a practical way love for God through loving our neighbor.

Putting good theology into practice is what we desire to see in our students’ lives – in churches, homes and communities.  As the book of James reminds us, true faith always expresses itself in action as the ministry of Word and deed are inseparable:

So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.  But someone will say, "You have faith and I have works." Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. (James 2:17-18, ESV)
