What is MTE II?

MTE II is an intensive fall English language course designed to equip students with the level of English proficiency needed to succeed in ThM studies at Westminster.

MTE II Curriculum

MTE II students study from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. In the morning, they learn about theological genres, build theological vocabulary, practice theological listening, and read longer articles in systematics, apologetics and biblical studies. In the afternoon, students participate in a practice ThM seminar and receive individualized instruction on their English skills. They also visit actual ThM classes as guests, having prepared well for the session so that they understand and can learn from what they observe. MTE II immerses students in the target theological environment so that they can progress very rapidly.
