Machen Chair Inauguration

Rev. Dr. Gregory K. Beale

On September 25th, Rev. Dr. Gregory K. Beale will be inaugurated as the first occupant of the J. Gresham Machen Chair of New Testament.  Join us at 10:30am in Rust Auditorium to celebrate this event, and to hear Dr. Beale's inagural address, “The Cognitive Peripheral Vision of Biblical Writers.”

When: Wednesday, September 25th.
Where: Rust Auditorium, Van Til Hall

Dr. J. Gresham Machen founded Westminster Theological Seminary in 1929 after serving at Princeton Theological Seminary for 23 years.  Dr. Machen taught New Testament at Westminster until his death in 1937, and wrote several books including Christianity and Liberalism, What is Faith?, The Virgin Birth of Christ, and New Testament Greek for Beginners.

Dr. Beale was elected as the first occupant of the Machen Chair of New Testament by the faculty and board of trustees.
