Join us for a FREE Pre-Conference to the Conference on Science and Faith on Friday April 13th at 7:00pm.  The Pre-Conference will be a forum between C. John Collins, author of Did Adam and Eve Really Exist? and Denis Lamoureux, author of I Love Jesus and I Accept Evolution.  Admission to the Pre-Conference is free, but registration is required as there is limited space.

Denis LamoureuxDenis O. Lamoureux is an associate professor of science and religion at St. Joseph's College in the University of Alberta. His appointment is the first tenure-track position in Canada dedicated to teaching and research on the relationship between scientific discovery and Christian faith. Lamoureux's academic specialty focuses on the modern origins controversy.

With Phillip E. Johnson, Lamoureux co-authored Darwinism Defeated? The Johnson-Lamoureux Debate on Biological Origins (1999). Lamoureux has also written Evolutionary Creation: A Christian Approach to Evolution (2008), and recently he condensed this book into a more accessible version entitled I Love Jesus and I Accept Evolution (2009).

C. John CollinsC. John Collins is a professor of Old Testament at Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, MO, and has been the department chair since 2005.  He received a Ph.D. from the School of Archaeology and Oriental Studies, University of Liverpool, Liverpool, England.

Collins is the author of Did Adam and Eve Really Exist?: Who They Were and Why You Should Care; Genesis 1-4: A Linguistic, Literary, and Theological Commentary; The God of Miracles: An Exegetical Examination of God’s Action in the World; and Science and Faith: Friends or Foes?
